YMCA overnight and day camp on a 219-acre Chesapeake Bay peninsula in Edgewater. Day camp runs Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:30pm for ages 6-12 across nine themed weeks (late June to late August), with archery, canoeing, basketball, street hockey, drama, soccer, swimming and a ropes challenge course; a resident (overnight) camp runs alongside it. Guided horseback trail rides are an optional weekly add-on, and camp is a phone- and electronics-free setting. Run by the YMCA of Metropolitan Washington; need-based scholarships are available by application.

★★★★★Mathilda McGovernThis camp is a great experience. The counselors are kind, and The Y integrates both local and international young adults. Their are six groups separated by age and gender, and all the groups have a friendly rivalry to gain points toward the "crew cup." Kids are not allowed to bring their devices, but are able to take medicines if needed. At the end of each week, the points are tallied up, the winning crew gets the cup, and parents are encouraged to watch each crew do their chants. Love this camp!!!!!
★★★★★aveAs a cabin member of commodore 1A this was an amazing experience especially since we stayed in a log cabin in the woods. Food was amazing and activities are a blast and you could never be bored in any one of them. Cabin in pretty clean but you might find a little bugs and it might be kind of dirty but that’s pretty normal. Last but not least, banana boating. This activity was extremely fun and there is no way you could ever resist the chance to get a ride on this with your friends. Also don’t listen to the negative reviews they are all not true about this camp

The food was great and they accommodated our mostly vegetarian group well. We had a great time canoeing on the Chesapeake Bay too. I really enjoyed the trails that go along the shore. Beautiful.

The camp is on the rustic side, but the buildings were well maintained and taken care of. The canoeing was fun! The food was presented well and tasty. Camp Letts seems like a wonderful place to spend more time.
