Premier Hoops is a year-round youth basketball organization founded in 2009 that runs week-long summer basketball camps for boys and girls across greater Boston and the North Shore. Its July and August camps at Danvers Indoor Sports run Monday through Thursday with age-split groups (ages 6-10 and 11-14) and a choice of half day (9 a.m.-12 p.m. for the younger group, 12-2 p.m. for the older) or full day, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.; campers bring their own lunch. Sessions emphasize footwork, ball-handling, shooting, passing, defense and scrimmaging in a small-group, low child-to-coach ratio setting, and separate co-ed, girls-only and guard-specific camps are offered alongside Boston-based weeks. The operator also runs private lessons, AAU teams, leagues and free clinics year-round.

He has improved dramatically due not only to the games and team practices but also due to the Awesome skill sessions that are made available everyday at various locations. He attended one of these every week and his ball handling is just one of the skills that he has improved immensely. These sessions set Premier apart from other programs and is a big reason why we chose Premier. The coaches are great and the private 1 on 1 sessions with coach Mike are top notch. He and his teammates also learned spacing and the 5-out pass and cut offense. They also focus a lot on fast breaks which lead to easy hoops. I expect to see a big difference when we play in our winter town travel program and in the fall AAU season we signed him up for. Highly recommend choosing this program if you want your kid to make teams all the way through high school (and hopefully beyond).
