Absolutely just avoid it. You’d think it’s great amenities but you can basically never use them. Been interrupted 3x for open swim due to overlapping classes 3x in the gym for overlapping classes. (Can’t use this machine, can’t use that machine due to some classes) MIND YOU 12pm on a Tuesday , or other various times. It’s not even during after work hours. One minute told my son can join the gym now he’s old enough, he needs to attend a class. Ask a different receptionist to sign him up looks at me confused and says he doesn’t need a class. Bring him to the gym, kicked out because he needs the class. Super frustrating when he’s asked me many times to bring him and I finally do just to disappoint him. I’m told there’s “free swim classes” just sign up on a website. I tell the lady I want to pay now for the swim classes and then additionally I’ll do the swim classes later. She INSIST to not pay now and he’ll be “fine” come to find out he was never signed up. Just so many different thing, MIND YOU IM PAYING $95 a MONTH FOR WHAT???? The locker rooms are also always have a smell. I’ve overlooked that for months. Constantly little nats flying around stuck to the walls. Just ridiculous paying this much to barely get 1/3 of what I’m supposed to be paying for.

No hand sanitizer anywhere. They used to have dispensers but removed them in the middle of a deadly flu season. Not going here since they don't prioritize public health.

I love being part of the Downtown YMCA community! I’ve met some incredible people here, and the staff is consistently helpful, friendly, and accommodating. It truly feels like a place where everyone belongs. Our church also meets at the YMCA on Sundays at 10:30 AM, and it’s been an amazing location for people who are looking for hope, connection, and a fresh start. We’re grateful for the partnership and the welcoming environment the Y provides. If you’re considering joining or visiting, the Downtown Y is a great place to grow, get healthy, and build meaningful relationships. Highly recommend! 🙌

Great place. I’ve done several group exercise classes - totally recommend Cardio Latin Beat with Angelica, in addition to the water aerobics version of it. I mainly use the gym, steam room & pool. This place has a bit of everything though. even passed a pickle ball room/area on my way to a group class. Only annoying thing is the steam room sometimes doesn’t work. Other than that, the staff & goers are cool & I like that it’s got all things + is local and affordable. No regrets on this membership. ++ site says they are closed on Sunday but thats false; they are open Sunday's - 8am-3pm. ask how i know

The outdoor pool price increased by 3 times over just 2 years! Their reasoning for the increase was that they added a couple of slides! $150 on top of the membership price! And the sad thing is that the outdoor pool is only open for about 2 months out of the year! They keep increasing prices because they know families are trying to keep their kids busy during the summer and they don't have many options, so they have to pay these absurd prices just so the kids are not stuck at home all summer. This is greed! What a shame!
