This place is a hidden gem of Asheville. In addition to actual gems, they have a moon rock you can touch, a tire from the space shuttle, and a shark tooth. Our guide had an infectious enthusiasm for all things space and geology. They rarely have tours so check the website carefully.
Fabulous staff, facilities and learning. My child wants to go back as soon as possible.
