Padraig's Place Adaptive Winter Sports at Buck Hill

Children and adults with physical or cognitive disabilities take adaptive ski and snowboard lessons from Padraig's Place, a nonprofit whose trained volunteers teach one-on-one and in small groups. Lessons take place at Buck Hill in Burnsville, Minnesota, in three-lesson sessions that include instruction, snacks and rental equipment when needed. A Twin Cities family founded the nonprofit in 2008 to share the sport they love with other families of children with special needs.
