Buck Hill Ski & Snowboard School
Compiled from public sources · October 2026
Buck Hill Ski & Snowboard School gives ski and snowboard lessons for ages 3 and up at Buck Hill, a privately owned ski hill beside Interstate 35 in Burnsville, Minnesota. Children in the group ski lessons are placed in small groups by ability level, with Little Bucks for ages 4 to 6 targeting a 4:1 student to teacher ratio and Cruisers for ages 7 to 12 targeting 5:1, each taken as a single class or as a progression through the levels over the season. Private ski lessons start at age 3 and private snowboard lessons at age 4, Sunday clubs take intermediate to advanced skiers and snowboarders ages 7 to 12, and Homeschool Days give homeschool students from age 6 and their parents or guardians a 90-minute station led lesson aimed at beginner skiers. Padraig's Place, a local nonprofit, works with the school to give adaptive ski and snowboard lessons to kids and adults with physical or cognitive disabilities.

Powered by GoogleI don't ski or snowboard, so I can't comment on that aspect. Buck Hill has become a go to for the car community, particularly for Weekly Wheels every Wednesday in the summer. They've done an excellent job keeping this show a fun, family friendly option for all to enjoy. The staff is great, on site food and beverage options are stellar, and best of all the event is FREE! Buck Hill also puts on several other community events throughout the year. If you think they're just a ski hill, you should take another look!
A small ski hill perfect for a local quick trip after our volleyball tournament in Minneapolis. Great for beginners. We enjoyed our time. It was inexpensive and the staff was very friendly and helpful. No wait at all to get our equipment.
Me and girlfriend got there at 11am on a Wednesday. Very mild crowd people. Tickets were affordable with rentals. Process was smooth and easy from boots to skis staff was amazing. Online just make sure you are double checking dates. Staff fixed my mistake easily.
We had a great time. Skied for over 5 hours. I had a wipe out. I fractured my tibia plateau and tore my MCL. The care I received from the ski patrol was awesome. Had multiple bystanders willing to help. I just want share my gratitude. There was a young boy that stopped to help I wish I got his name because he was awesome. Thanks everyone. I start my rehab in 4 weeks. I will back at Buck Hill next season.
