Children and adults ages 7 and older with intellectual disabilities learn to ski or snowboard in one-on-one lessons taught by trained volunteers. Students must be able to stand up on their own, and no adaptive equipment is used. Lessons meet at Hyland Hills Ski Area in Bloomington, Minnesota. The City of Richfield runs the program through AR&LE, an adaptive recreation cooperative of Bloomington, Eden Prairie, Edina and Richfield.
