Oak Park YMCA
Private
Oak Park YMCA is a branch of the YMCA of Metropolitan Lansing and hosts its summer day camp for children ages 5-11. Days combine arts and crafts, games, sports and themed weekly challenges, with a character-building focus each week; campers at the association's branches also swim in the Y pools. Camp is enrolled week by week with a $40 non-refundable deposit per week, and families can register in person at any of the three Lansing Y branches.

Powered by GooglePlace needs a very deep cleaning especially the floors in the mens bathrooms and showers I don't think they are cleaned well on a daily basis. The weight room is usually giant mess, nobody re-racks their weights a majority of the time let alone wipe down the equipment when they are finished. It's not uncommon to walk in and see all at least 50% of the machines with weight still on them. The Dumbbells are all out of orderbas well. Nobody walks thru the weight room enough to monitor to make sure it's being used properly. The hot tub was out for over 3 weeks in December, the swimsuit dryer was out of order for almost a month. Took them about 2 weeks just to fix the steam room. The pool is way to hot to swim 82 - 84 any type of endurance distance swimming becomes too hot without taking breaks. I tried for multiple years and have had enough. People are very nice but the facility has seen better days.
Facility is clean and the staff are friendly. They have fitness classes for no extra charge! I love my instructors, they are full of energy and super charismatic. Plenty of activities to partake in! Only thing I will note is to watch out for the potholes on the street. Really wish the city would pave the road leading up to the YMCA.
Mostly seniors, nice people very clean and friendly. Never a problem lthe area looks a bit shabby, needs a snake counter.
The workers seemed nice, but the gym itself sucks. There are no private showers, so if you want to clean up after a workout you either have to forgo any sense of privacy or just wash your pits with water from the sink. The cardio gym is separate from the weight lifting gym, why? Also all their weight lifting stuff is outdated. There are a lot of creepy men, one of them was stretching in a doorway and catcalled me as I walked past when I was trying to find the cardio gym. I was also informed that there have been a lot of car break-ins in the parking lot. Just avoid, I'm never coming back to this one.
Clean! Friendly staff a great place to take your family.. beautiful pool.. nice hot tub steam room..
