The NYC Center for Aerospace and Applied Mathematics (NYCCAAM) is a New York City Public Schools experiential-learning centre at 220 Henry Street on the Lower East Side that teaches STEM through space and aviation science. Students in grades 1 to 12 fly simulated space missions in its Challenger Learning Center or study how aircraft fly in the NASA Aerospace Education Laboratory, using flight simulators, a wind tunnel, model airplanes and specialist software. Alongside single-day class visits, extended in-school and after-school programs in aviation, engineering and robotics, and educator professional learning, NYCCAAM runs week-long camps over spring and summer break. Its published pricing and booking process is per class for schools; camp dates, hours and family registration are not posted.
