North Shore Racquet Club runs the Karzen summer tennis camps June 8-August 14, Monday-Friday, at its indoor Northbrook courts and outdoors at the New Trier Northfield courts. Campers are placed by age and level across Junior AM Tennis (9:00am-12:00pm), Junior PM Tennis (12:45-3:15pm), Tournament Tennis (9:00am-12:00pm) and High School Drills, working through skill drills, match play, fitness and on-court strategy; a Little Sprouts tennis/basketball combo camp covers ages 5-7 and junior basketball camps are also offered. Half-day sessions can be paired into a full day with shuttle transportation between sites, and campers bring their own lunch. Higher-level camps require a short evaluation with the coaching staff, and all campers need a Court Reserve account.

Jerry and Brett and all the staff are friendly and helpful. They answer calls and return calls promptly if can't be reached or don't know the answer right away. The bathrooms are updated and very clean. Nice, big lounge area too with big screen tv, kitchenette and vending machines. The pros are very knowledge. Very exciting place for young people to be! Most of all I admire the way Jerry conducts the youth tennis classes. He gives teaching tips every session and offers words of encouragement. It's rare to find someone like Jerry who is passionate about their work and kind at the same time, I think. Great stuff. Five stars!
