Northbrook Racquet Club has run a summer junior tennis camp for over 25 years, keeping a low student-to-instructor ratio so campers get more individual attention on agility, stroke production and skill building. Sessions are short classes rather than day camps: a 10 & Under Red Ball group for ages 4-9 meets Monday to Friday for 40 minutes late afternoon, while leveled junior tracks - Green Dot, JDP, High School Prep, Challengers High Performance, High Performance Premier and Apex - run 2 to 3 hour blocks indoors and outdoors through the day. The club also offers memberships giving priority registration, plus leagues, cardio tennis and a pro shop.

My patient goes once a week and loves it! The staff are wonderful! Highly recommend!

It's mediocre but there are few enough places to play tennis in tje

This club has nice courts with very outdated facilities. While the court are well-maintained, my number one complaint is the height and placement of overhead lights at the baseline. The low clearance impacts serve toss height in singles play thereby impeding on the server's ability to vary toss heights and also have clear visibility while striking the ball overhead. Very poor design decision here.

Great tennis club, the staff are very friendly, courts are well kept and the facility is excellent. Ball carts are easy to roll around and are sturdy and large. There is a comfortable foam handle on the ball hoppers and carts, which make picking up balls and the entire experience much more enjoyable. They also have high quality balls. Towels are large and quality. They have 8 courts with benches and a place for your things. The lobby area has a stringer and little shop for overgrips. The chords rent out for $20 an hour and $4 for a cart of balls. After you are such a shame they have a changing room that has a bathroom a sauna and a hot tub. They also have a kid room with a TV for the junior players. This was a very enjoyable experience, and looking forward to coming back to this club.

The club offers a Monday night drop-in clinic for all levels, supposedly with opportunity for good 4.0-level players to participate. Don't believe it. You'll get stuck on a court with players of lower skill level. The head instructor, Richard, is a horse's backside who only lets his 4.0 travel team play on the "good court." No newcomers welcome.
