North County Gymnastics and the Gyminny Kids Poway

If you are looking for a gymnastics club that balances high-level technical training with a genuinely supportive environment, North County Gymnastics / Gyminny Kids is the place to be. My daughter has been with Gyminny Kids/North County Gymnastics for 4 yrs (3.5 on comp team) and her growth has been amazing. I can't say enough good things about the coaching staff. They strikes the perfect chord between being encouraging and maintaining high standards. They provide constructive feedback that helps the kids understand the "why" behind every movement. Safety is key with a heavy emphasis on teaching proper mechanics to ensure every student is practicing safely. The instructors are patient, ensuring children master foundational techniques before moving on to more complex maneuvers. My child always leaves practices feeling empowered and motivated, thanks to the coaches' ability to celebrate small wins while still pushing for technical excellence. Coach Carrie and Coach Earl are an excellent team. Additionally, the front office staff are truly the heartbeat of the gym. Navigating class schedules, make-up sessions, and billing issues with ease and kindness. They are consistently welcoming, incredibly organized, and go out of their way to ensure every family feels seen and supported, especially Rana who has been with us from the start. But also others like Stephen, Maci, Michael, Alex, and Laryssa (comp team admin). Bottom Line: Between the seamless experience provided by the front office and the expert guidance from the coaches, this gym provides a top-tier experience for both parents and gymnasts.

We’ve been going to this gym and this location weekly for a couple of years now. I have a 6-year-old and a 4-year-old, both with special needs. What can I say? This place is awesome and works with SDRC! The staff is so patient, kind, and understanding. Sometimes my kids have their “off” days and can be a little more challenging, but the coaches are always supportive, gentle, and calm. They truly get it. They offer a great variety of classes for the littles; there’s really something for everyone. They decorate the gym with fun themes every couple of weeks and are always doing something festive for all the holidays. They honestly think of everything and make it such an enjoyable experience for the kids. They also have camps and Kids Night Out, which is a huge plus. That said, the gym wouldn’t be nearly as welcoming or inviting without the staff. Coach Alex, Lauren, Robert, Shay, Ronna, Charlie, Ashley, Trisha (just to name a few) are what truly make Gyminny Kids stand out. My kids still love going there, even after all these years! You can tell it’s an extremely well-organized and well-run business, and I feel so lucky to live close by. I seriously feel like I found the jackpot in Poway! If you’re looking for a great place for your child to get their wiggles out, try competitive gymnastics, or just start learning the art of gymnastics, this is the place. You won’t regret it — I sure haven’t!

As a mom, I couldn’t be happier with our experience at North County Gymnastics. I currently have two girls in their 'developmental program'/competitive team and they just love it! They have been with Gyminny since they were both 1 year old and started at the 4S location. The front desk is so kind and welcoming. They are ALWAYS there to help! Especially Ms. Ronna. That lady is always smiling and pure joy! Sometimes she even teaches the littles so make sure you ask for her if you have a small child. Coach Carrie, Coach Earl, and Coach Paige have been exceptional team coaches! They are not only patient and encouraging but they truly care about each girl doing their best. The gym is always clean and well organized, and I feel confident knowing my girls are learning in a safe, positive environment. They have classes for kids under 1 and up and at all times of the day. There is also a small playroom for little kids in case you need to keep your littles busy while your older ones are working hard. Your first class is free so definitely give this place a chance.

Both of my daughters love coming to Gyminny Kids for gymnastics. The coaches are friendly and welcoming. The parent portal is very user friendly and easy to schedule up make classes. I love that you can use the make up classes for their parent's night out. When it's your child's birthday they offer a free open gym for them and 3 of their friends to join. The only thing I wished they had done better was communicate when my daughters' Coach was switching to a different time slot. We didn't receive any notification and when I asked the front desk about it before the switch happened they assured me their coach wasn't changing class times which was not the case. Other than that our experience has been very positive and my girls love coming here.

My 4.5 year old daughter has been attending classes at Gyminny for over a year now. She is learning confidence, coordination, and following directions. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and it is set up to be relaxing and convenient for parents (and visiting grandparents!). We've even done a princess birthday party on site! In general, I recommend that all little kids take gymnastics, and Gyminny of Poway is a perfect venue to learn those skills and body awareness.
