★★★★Renata O'ConnorThe part open to the public is the candy shop that sells ice cream, & it's pretty good ice cream supporting a free summer camp for underprivileged kids. I have a friend that's been part of that community for a couple generations & we go up one a year and rent guest rooms in the lodge, also supporting the camp. & I like that it's a beautiful place right on the lake with really friendly people. The rest of Barr camp is a Christian community (including Sunday services in the chapel above the candy shop) of summer cabins. There's no wifi or air conditioning, with pretty basic accomodations (guest lodge has shared bathrooms down the hall). But it's a beautiful place to spend a weekend unplugged. If you are just doing the trail walking around lake Geneva, stopping for ice cream (cash only) when they're open is. A nice treat that supports good works.
