FarmWise Education offers hands-on farm day camps for children on a 35-acre hobby farm in Elkhorn. Five-day camps run 9:00am–3:00pm weekly from June through August, primarily for ages 6–12 (with some options for younger children). Campers milk and care for cows, grow produce from seed to harvest, prepare lunch from scratch, and learn basic farm maintenance.

My daughter and I got to milk a cow, collect eggs, bottle feed a lamb, play with kittens and feed the pigs. We got to try fresh yogurt and sour cream made from the milk of the cow we milked.
