Powered by GoogleI went to my grandson's 9th birthday party and the pool was heated and the clean; as was the facility. The Y has a policy where the staff encouraged and led the children to play organized games. The staff, from the receptionist to the lifeguards, were professional and friendly.
I swam here twice in 2 months, twice I got sick/virus/cold. The first time took me 10 days to get over and 7 days for the 2nd time. Since then I’ve been trying to play basketball here. I am totally aware of some of the rude, eyes filled with hatred Coach and staffs. They don’t want to be open with you with the basketball court schedule, and it’s a waste of time to even be kind and try to ask any help from them. It was 2 fully empty court I did 4 full court layups, 1 min later a staff stood under a basket and watch me. If your life is miserable, don’t put it on the members. We pay for you to work here. Have some basic human manor is not too much to ask?
Dear YMCA Management Team, I hope this message finds you well. I would like to share some constructive feedback regarding the availability of the basketball court at the YMCA. Many members, including myself, have noticed that the basketball court is frequently unavailable due to other scheduled programs and activities. While I fully understand and appreciate that the YMCA offers a wide variety of programs to serve the community, the limited access to the basketball court has been inconvenient for members who rely on it for regular recreation, fitness, and stress relief. Basketball is an important activity for many members, and the current scheduling makes it difficult to plan consistent playtime. At times, members arrive expecting open court access only to find it occupied, which can be frustrating and discouraging. I respectfully suggest considering clearer communication of court schedules, additional open-gym hours, or a more balanced allocation of time so that basketball players and other program participants can all feel equally supported. Even small adjustments or advance notice could greatly improve the member experience. Thank you for taking the time to consider this feedback. I truly value the YMCA and its commitment to the community, and I hope this input can help enhance services for all members. Sincerely, Karma Jinpa
I am a member of the Meadowlands YMCA, and I would like to share a concern. Some YMCA staff—especially those working on the basketball court and certain trainers—have been rude and have shown a lack of respect toward members. I kindly ask that all staff treat members with courtesy and professionalism. I would like to thank the staff who work in the locker room, as they are always respectful and helpful. I also respectfully suggest that at least two half basketball courts be made available to members on Saturdays. Currently, children’s training sessions occupy one and a half courts, which leaves very limited space for members. I would appreciate being treated equally as a member. Not everyone comes to the YMCA for the gym or swimming—some of us come specifically to play basketball. I am also a member for that reason.
As a member, I am so tried to the untrained staff members, I really don’t understand why they ask us to move court to court again and again. It’s because we are Asian face? They talking us without any respect and very rough. It’s happened to me four times, Specially they kicked us out of court today since 9am. Some of my guys just came in at that time. We all (a what’s up group with more than 40 members) signed for membership because play basketball. The YMCA at least leave two courts open during the weekend.
