Powered by GoogleWe were really disappointed by this camp last summer. The adult staff members were curt at best. On the first day of drop off I asked to speak to someone quickly to mention my kid was not a strong swimmer - an older lady came over and said 'what's the problem?'. No hello, no good morning, no welcome. The rest of the week was the same vibe. The healthy snacks they provided were processed - e.g., goldfish or something else out of a package with no nutritional value. My kid only got fruit when they asked for it (sliced apples in a bag). They advertise fun activities like archery, but then my kid spent the majority of the allotted time standing in line, waiting for a turn. From my kid's experience, they had too many kids in each group, so kids were herded around instead of being given the opportunity to actually learn something new or take the time to enjoy what they were doing. On the last day, my kid was told they had to watch a basketball game that they had no interest in watching, instead of regularly scheduled activities. Not once did I meet my kid's counselor - it was very clear that I was meant to drop off and then vanish as quickly as possible. Not one adult introduced themselves - ever. However, the teenagers they employed seemed like perfectly nice young people. This camp felt cold and designed to maximize profit and efficiency, not enjoyment for children. Given the price, I expected a much higher caliber.
great camp! Such a warm, friendly staff and counselors. Organization of pick up/drop off was amazing and stress free. Community really cared about children’s safety. From the pool, tennis , rockclimbing, and talent shows, this camp had something for everyone!
Meadow Breeze Day Camp is a wonderful summer experience for kids Kindergarten age through Middle School. The counselors and staff are very kind, encouraging, fun, and safety conscious as they supervise swimming, tennis, sports, archery, drama, music, and crafts. I especially love the launch trip camp weeks, where the Meadow Breeze staff chaperones the older students on grand day trips all over the greater Boston area for adventures like sailing, rock climbing, horseback riding, cooking, escape rooms, Canobie Lake Park, and more.
Lots of activities from sports to arts and crafts, can also enroll for specific classes (e.g. tennis, swimming, robotics). Very organized drop-off and pick-up.
Great Camp to attend, or for your teenager to be a counselor. Fair pay for the counselors over the course of the summer.
