I’m a very observant parent. Even if I’m sitting quietly in the corner, I’m watching everything. After several months of coming here, these are the main concerns I’ve noticed: 1. The investment. This program comes out to about $1,380 per year. That’s a significant amount of money. With that kind of investment, I expect structure, engagement, and clear development. 2. Sunday sessions lack engagement and instruction. On Sundays in particular, there are often two young women leading the class. Many times, they are sitting down with their hands in their pockets, talking to each other. They’ll occasionally tell the kids to run or demonstrate something briefly, but most of the time they remain seated while the children continue jumping. There is very little hands-on guidance. My son often ends up off to the side, and no one consistently guides him on what to improve or how to correct his form. The overall energy from the instructors sometimes feels low. If the main activity is simply jumping forward and backward for an hour without consistent coaching, I could honestly take my own sleeping mattress, place it on the floor at home, and let my son practice there. I could save the $1,380 a year instead of paying for what often feels like unstructured jump time. 3. Line rotation and fairness. More than once, my five-year-old has asked me, “Mom, why do people always go in front of me when I’m waiting in line?” As far as I know — and in most places in the world — a line works in order: whoever is first goes first. Not the other way around. Unless the system here works differently and the last person in line goes first — if so, that hasn’t been explained. I have personally observed instances where children who were behind my son were allowed to go ahead of him. When a child that young starts noticing it and asking questions, it becomes concerning. 4. Unequal attention. I have also noticed that girls tend to receive more hands-on assistance than boys. All families are paying the same tuition, so the level of attention and opportunity should feel equal. 5. The birthday party incident. During a birthday party, while we were quietly filming our son from the side, a young staff member approached us abruptly and told us we couldn’t stand there because we hadn’t signed a waiver. There was no introduction, and the tone felt dismissive. After explaining that our son is enrolled and already has a waiver on file, his response and body language felt indifferent. Another coach later told us it was fine for us to remain there, which made the situation even more confusing.

My son has been training with Coach Levon and his assistant coaches for >6 years. We have been extremely happy with the quality of instruction and the environment that Coach Levon has created in his gym. He prioritizes technical excellence and safety, and has a good intuitive sense about when and how to push each individual athlete to be the best they can possibly be. Gymnastics is a demanding sport, both physically and emotionally, and we have always felt like our son was in excellent hands in Levon’s gym. Our son has grown so much in his skills, discipline, and confidence, and he’s still having a blast. Highly recommend.

This gym is amazing. We've had 3 kids at MEGA for years, including both boys and girls competitive teams, and I can say hands down it is the best gymnastics academy around. Coach Levon and his staff for boys team, as well as Janie and Nicole for girls team are all top notch. Whether your child wants to do recreational for fun or possibility to go elite to the highest level, the opportunity is there. Before MEGA opened we made the rounds to all the other gymnastics schools, and years later, we're still very happy we choose MEGA. At this school, besides physical strength our kids gained confidence and positive experiences which included making great friends with teammates. The vibe at MEGA is positive and we've always found the coaches to be extremely supportive. The equipment is all new and a lot of thought and precision went into setting up the gym for all levels. My sons has been on the boys team at MEGA for a little over a year now. To say that he has come a LONG way in his progress would be an understatement. Coach Levon is a great combination of strict/disciplined and fun/playful - the boys love him! I have been so happy to watch my son's confidence grow in the past 18 months. Additionally, this gym is extremely well equipped with multiple foam pits for learning the harder skills. I would absolutely recommend MEGA to anyone considering gymnastics. Boy or girl, big or little or even beginner or skilled. You won't be disappointed.

My son has been coached by Levon (current MEGA owner) for the last 11+ years--Levon has been simply superb. He has extensive coaching experience (on the local, national, and international level) and he is able to individualize his coaching approach to each athlete. He has coached boys from recreational to the national team level. I recommend MEGA most highly--gymnastics is an amazing sport for all kids, regardless of their individual goals as athletes.
