Mass City FC is a US Club Soccer-affiliated youth club based at 708 Washington Street in Pembroke that runs a five-day residential summer camp on a college campus, with recent editions hosted at Nichols College and Curry College. The camp is aimed at older players, roughly U12 to U15, and pairs intensive on-field training and tournaments with tactical seminars, conditioning through the club's Ascension program, a set nutrition plan and structured downtime. Campers sleep in double-occupancy dorm rooms with coaching staff, assistants and a medic on site, and goalkeepers train separately. Registration is open-enrollment with a deposit and payment-plan option.

★★★Zakiyyah Id-Deen MurrayMy 9 year old son spent two years with this program. They are organized and will keep your child busy throughout most of the year. In terms of competitiveness and skill development, it seems to be selective based on families having personal relationship with the staff. My son was the best player on his team and not having similarly skilled teammates caused his game to regress. I had concerns and tried to verbalize them to the program only to be ignored. I didn’t push the issues and just decided to take mental note and continued to observe how the program interacted with other families in comparison to mine. When an issue arose involving my son getting turf in his eyes thrown by his own teammate. I expressed concern to the program administrators and, guess what, I was ignored yet again! Shocking! So I took matters into my own hands since they thought the action of a 10 year old deliberately and repeatedly throwing turf in my son’s face was “boys being boys”. They failed to know I’ve raised four boys ranging from ages 22-9. I believe his behavior was dangerous and totally out the box of how boys typically act. This act was fueled with unresolved anger stemming from something out of the incident itself. The program decided to contact me when the volatile child’s parent decided to be a “Karen” and complain. The parent thought it was a good idea to make excuses for her child. She tried to use the situation and manipulate it to make it seem like my son deserved. Everyone else involved did not get injured to where they couldn’t play on the game. Some how, the end result of the incident was not compelling enough. The magnitude of the situation was belittled and minimized to the degree that only my response to that parent mattered. How could I in good conscience allow my child to play for this program another year. He mattered such as much as every other child. I wanted to believe so bad that my child being a POC was not a driving force in how this program responded, or lack there of, to my concerns. Yet, I can’t seem to develop any other idea other than the obvious!
