Youth soccer summer camp run by Lee Mount Vernon Sports Club, an Alexandria, Virginia nonprofit that also fields basketball, flag football and lacrosse programs. The all-skill-levels camp works on dribbling, passing, shooting, defending, game tactics and teamwork, and runs for one week at Manchester Lakes Park as either a half-day session (9am-12pm, 3rd-6th grade / U9-U12) or a full-day session (9am-4pm, 3rd-8th grade / U9-U14). Open enrollment; for summer 2026 the club also lists a Summer Training Camp, a Skills and Shooting program and Patriots Academy. The club publishes financial aid for its recreational programs.

★Terence RoseThe LMVSC Grade 7-8 Rec Soccer league is the worst run Rec sports league I have ever been a part of. As a Rec league coach or parent of many other leagues, the one thing I am sure of is Rec leagues are about healthy competition (not participation trophies) among youth that are not on the travel sports path. I am disgusted with my experience. Stay far away from this league.

★Sherry StrobelWe coached girls soccer with them for years. Let me just say they should practice what they preach in their coaches meetings. For a group of people who talk every kid gets a trophy speaches and its not about the win let me asure you it is about a win and some coaches egos. One example..when you dont have enough kids the other team plays down or even offers players....not true in our case several times. Our girls would play the whole game. Know why we didnt have plenty of girls? Because some other coaches took girls who should have gone to us due to area but somehow they ended up on other teams...hmmm. The Gunston league took alot of the Lee/MV kids during that time as well. I dont blame the ones that left for sure. I hope things have gotten better there

I signed my son up for this season a bit late, so unfortunately he wasn’t able to join a team since they were already full. I only wish I had known about the registration window sooner! That said, I could really tell how much they care about their families. The customer service was excellent, my emails were answered quickly, my calls were returned promptly, which was surprising and the lady I spoke with was always so kind and polite. I’ve learned my lesson to be on top of registration next season, but overall my experience with this organization was truly great. Thank you for having such a wonderful staff who treat families, even late ones like mine, with so much respect and understanding

The coaches are fantastic at every level. My son plays in the recreational program, and they do an amazing job working with the younger kids, making it fun while also helping them learn the game. My daughter has been playing travel soccer and attending the summer camp for almost 3 years now, and it’s been a wonderful experience. The coaches are professional, supportive, and truly care about the players. LMVSC is more than just a league. it’s a community, and we’re so grateful to be part of it!
