SAM Soccer Camp is a summer soccer day camp run by the Maryland SoccerPlex in Boyds for youth ages 5–13 of all skill levels, focused on fundamental soccer skills in a supportive setting. Each camp week includes a field trip to the on-site Splash Park. Camps are held at the Maryland SoccerPlex & Adventist HealthCare Fieldhouse.

★★★★★J YoonThis review is for Pre-Kicks (ages 3-4). Coach Russel is great at leading the toddlers with age appropriate activities that help them hone their soccer skills. Kids this age have very short attention spans, so activities change frequently to keep them engaged while teaching them rules of soccer, how to dribble, and work as a team. Coach Russel seems very aware of each child’s individual needs and makes objectives slightly easier or more challenging depending on their age and varying skill level. No kid is lost or bored during soccer. Coach Michael was also great one week when we had him! Great energy to get the kids excited and engaged. My toddler has a great time each week, and we already signed up for winter classes.

★Alex HillmanZERO STARS!! I was bringing my grandchildren to this winter league for the first time and they were absolutely horrible! Games all seemed cheated and I didn’t see any games where the children weren’t 3 times bigger then the other children. For example with our 2013/2012 team the other team FC Lions used 3 adult looking tall probably 2010-2011 children that were bigger than the whole other team. I understand kids grow at different times but that extreme was exaggerated!! You could tell in the skill levels as well. When tried to complain or ask age confirmation I was told no one was available to help. I wasted my time here and they are absolutely horrible service/customer service. They just take your money and don’t care what happens to the children after. You could also tell bad very bad preference with certain teams and it was already known who was ganna make it to the semi finals and finals ! Outrageous and just incompetent league for indoor!!! Never will come back !!! Zero Stars ! It only hurt the self esteem of my grandchildren and their whole team! Horrible horrible experience and broken hearted by this lack of help with this league!! Check ages before making the children’s self worth crushed by huge children that are not in the same age groups !!! ZERO STARS!! Do NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE!!!
★Jorge DiazIf I could give Zero Stars I would!!!! Sam’s Soccer is ridiculous and they are cheaters and take your money and then when you have problems don’t help in anyway!!! My kids played in multiple age groups and always played with bigger kids, one actually got hurt and the staff didn’t help in anyway to help my injured child!!! They never had a manager on staff or anyone of any help to put in any complaints too!! Don’t come or bring your kids here and don’t recommend any teams to come here !! It was a first time for us and this was definitely our last! It’s ridiculous how bad the league is and how discriminating they are!!! You feel they already have their preferences with certain teams! Don’t waste money here and if you want your kids to enjoy soccer take them somewhere else like Rockville indoor league instead.

I would say to any clubs or soccer academy looking forward to join this SAM Soccer, rethink again, take a second thought before you sign up. I'm one of many parents disappointed, saddened by the service of this league. The leaders SAM Select league are not responsible, not trustworthy. I say that because you do not find safety nor fun because they are assigning clubs without pay attention to kids age. They promise to competitive games by assigning clubs according ages/grades but we found that to be false. We submitted compliant after playing couple of games and found out our kids were playing against U14+ and physically injured and game result were not in close range. Whoever Gary, he is not taking any responsibility like he said he will correct for the reminder of the game. DO NOT EVER CONSIDER THIS LEAGUE. THEY COLLECT YOUR MONEY AND SIDELINE YOU. :(
