Powered by GoogleHey, It's me Your Old Soccer player In u9 Brayan. I got injured last year and unfortunately couldn't play. Thank you for an amazing experience and passion. sincerely, Brayan.
Very unorganized! My daughter played 2 seasons before I had enough of this program. The first season she played the coach kept canceling practice with no options to reschedule, which i understand they are volunteering but Im still paying money. The second season my daughter played she was placed with older children. I dont care what people say even at a young age there are differences with strength with boys and girls. The boys would push and trip her. The coach and refs did nothing about it. Then one day we were supposed to have a game then half way though they moved the goals in and turned it into idk what. The coach always played their child while other kids would sit out almost the whole game, until the parents had to say something to the coach. Neither time did the league do pictures. And dont get me started on that little parking lot that can only hold about 20 cars. Absolutely DO NOT recommend.
Son played with this team for years then played with the elite team, they had gotten a new coach named Kyle Moore who was doing inappropriate stuff to the children on the field. My 12 year old son was very uncomfortable as coach Kyle was licking the ball for more than 10 seconds while staring at him and other kids on the team. I reached out to the head of the soccer team. Nothing was done, basically said the coach licked his own ball and does things to entertain the children on the team. Also, was told that my son could take a step down if he’d like since he felt uncomfortable being near coach Kyle. I would not recommend! No child should have to take a step down for a sick individual doing such sick things to children! Be aware!!
I do not recommend this program. This spring, our team played against their girls 2012 elite team, and their coaches, parents, and players were hostile. My daughter broke her wrist after the Harundale coach's daughter threw her to the ground. As we were walking off the field to take her to the ER, one coach accosted my husband and their other coach said to our team manger "At least our girls don't cry like babies." Seriously? They were 11! Who says that? There was no compassion or concern shown by their entire team. They represent all that is wrong with youth sports. While I'm hopeful most of their coaching staff is not like this, one of their commissioners, A. Wright, didn't respond to our concern at all, and was the head coach of the team we were playing. This confrontation is all that is wrong with youth sports today. • The coaching style was not about growing the game, it was only about using aggressive play to win. Players on our team reported hearing the coaches giving instructions like "if they are in your way, just run them over." • The coach didn't care that there was an injured girl on the field, just how his players' dirty play would be punished. Who blames the hurt player for the play while she is still on the field of play? • The coach came onto the field of play and escalated the situation (I played my part, but it never would have happened if he didn't come onto the field of play talking about my 11 year old daughter in front of her). • The coach continued to escalate the situation when we were clearly leaving the field because he felt the need to get the last word in and continue the confrontation. Any good coach shows concern for the hurt player first and foremost and addresses the play later. He showed zero concern for my daughter and wanted to continue to yell at us while we were leaving. The homepage of your website says the tournament is there to promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and well-being. There was none of that present during our game. Players and parents follow the lead from coaches and this was an example of very poor leadership. My understanding is that this team behaved poorly all tournament.
My daughter plays for u13 Black Flames, we absolutely love our coach and all the parents! Great group of girls! The girls all play their heart out and have fun, winning is the goal but if they come up short they get back out there and try again. I could not ask for a better experience with any organization. I was a Harundale athlete and I’m proud to say my kid is too!!
