Les Bois Swim Academy is a nonprofit swim-lesson program (part of the Greater Boise Aquatic Foundation) teaching water safety and swimming at the Idaho Central Aquatic Center, with age-appropriate levels starting as young as three months. Lessons follow a weekly, 30-minute format. It is a swim-lesson provider rather than a kids' summer camp.

⭐☆☆☆☆ My child stopped attending and I made sure to cancel the membership at that time. Despite that, they recently charged my account, claiming the membership had not been properly closed. I never authorized any new charges and was very disappointed by how the situation was handled. Be sure to keep documentation of any cancellation requests, as this experience was both frustrating and unexpected. They are being sued today over this matter.

We originally had a very positive experience with this swim program. A teacher was recommended to us by friends, and my son took around 15 private lessons with her. He really enjoyed learning with her, so before one session package ended, we renewed another 4 lessons. Unfortunately, shortly afterward, the teacher left the program. We were notified and given several replacement options to choose from. Our understanding was that lessons would be paused until we found a new teacher who was a good fit for my son. We even contacted the program to ask questions about potential instructors. Later, a new teacher was assigned, and my son tried one lesson but did not feel comfortable continuing. At that point, we were informed that the remaining 4 lessons would not be refunded because we did not attend lessons at the originally scheduled times. This came as a complete misunderstanding to us. We were never clearly informed that the prepaid lessons would expire or become non-refundable if we did not immediately continue with a replacement instructor. We do not think it is fair that families are expected to accept any teacher assigned after their original instructor leaves the program. I tried communicating respectfully with the staff to explain the misunderstanding and seek a reasonable resolution, but despite multiple conversations, they still refused to refund the unused lessons. I understand businesses have policies, but clear communication and flexibility are important, especially when the change was caused by the instructor leaving, not by the customer. Not recommended at all, especially if you need those private or other lessons. There are much better and trustable places with better teachers in Boise .

They stole from us. We put our name on a waitlist, which asked for credit card information. We found another option in the meantime. They then charged us for lessons that we couldn’t use. When we asked them to reverse the charge, they did not respond. We challenged the charge with our credit card company - and they still did not reach out. Do not do business with these folks. Goldfish is great!

I've enrolled my three kids in a variety of swim lessons at other facilities (both in Boise and in another city), and Les Boise Swim Academy is by far the best. My youngest child started at the introductory class 2 years ago and is now in the final class level. The punch card system makes the expectations clear for everyone (parents included!), and gives my daughter a great sense of accomplishment as she masters the various skills. The instructors have been wonderful, and I've consistently been impressed watching them pull my very shy child out of her shell. Also, the flexibility of this swim academy is noteworthy. Our family has a lot going on, and we often can't make our scheduled class. The ability to cancel (with 8 hours notice) and pop into an opening in another class has been invaluable. We don't lose money when we absolutely can't make the class, and we have the flexibility to be able to accommodate travel and mid-week soccer games. In addition, dropping into other classes lets my daughter learn from other teachers, which expands how she understands various swim concepts. The management is lovely: both friendly and helpful every time I've interacted with them. I cannot sing the praises of this swim academy enough. I love it, and I'm so grateful that my daughter is water-safe and loves swimming! Thank you!

We love Les Bois Swim! Our kids have made massive amounts of progress and we also use adult lessons and adult lap hours. 10 minutes from our house and great facility! Highly recommend!
