Powered by GoogleWe have been doing adult drills at Glendoveer with Kaleen for a couple of years now and also have taken private and semi-private lessons. It has been so fun to get to know Kaleen and to get back into tennis. She is a great coach that tells you like it is which I find to be the most helpful and productive style. We have recently become members at the club and our daughter is also attending the Junior drills group and loves it.
As a mother I will never take my child back to K-leans Tennis camp. The golf was super fun and my child enjoyed it a lot. With K-lean however, is very rude. My child told me that she screamed at them when they did something wrong, or "not perfect" instead of teaching them how to correctly do it, even though our children are there to learn. My kid ended up losing confidence in their skills after being yelled and scolded at on multiple occasions. My child came home crying because K-lean humiliated her in front of her whole class and begged me not to let her go back and that was only the first day. She yells at her helpers as well not only the kids. She not only works them to the point of exhaustion but one worker got sick during the class and K-lean didn't help her just stood there and rolled her eyes. My daughter also overheard K-lean telling another women that "Children don't deserve respect." and that "Only adults deserve my respect." My kid then had a fit about how K-lean used to be a kid too 😂.
Klean is an incredible coach. My sons have been going to her summer camp for the last 3 years and it is their favorite camp. I've seen them grow in their skills and confidence. We are incredibly grateful for her coaching and guidance.
Kaleen is a fantastic tennis coach who truly knows how to bring out the best in her players. While some may say she’s “too harsh,” I see her as a real coach—someone who pushes her students to improve rather than handing out empty praise. She’s not about giving every child a trophy; she’s about teaching discipline, resilience, and the skills needed to excel on the court. If you’re looking for someone to sugarcoat things, Kaleen might not be the coach for you. But if you want your child to develop a strong work ethic and reach their full potential, she’s exactly who you need. Results don’t come from comfort zones, and Kaleen understands that better than anyone. Highly recommended!
Kaleen is a terrible coach for children. She’s a poor communicator and gets mad at kids for doing things wrong without explaining what’s right. The other coach, Paul, is awesome, he stays engaged and motivates the kids while teaching proper form. Unfortunately, we haven’t seen him in a while. We’ve finally had enough of KaLeen’s bullying and humiliating style. We’re done.
