The Ithaca Yacht Club runs a Youth Sailing and Racing program on Cayuga Lake in weekly Monday-to-Friday sessions for ages 8-17, offering nine sessions from June 22 to August 21 in 2026. It takes all experience levels: beginners start in single-handed Optimist dinghies and graduate to two-person 420s and single-handed ILCA/Laser dinghies, while advanced students race at IYC and nearby clubs with competitive regattas in all classes. All training happens on the lake within view of the club. Registration is open to the public at a higher rate than IYC member families, and every participant must demonstrate they can swim 50 yards in a swim test given on the first day of each program week.
The practical details
We list only what the camp itself publishes, and programs change — dates, prices, ages and availability can all move after we check. Confirm the details on the camp’s own website and contact Ithaca Yacht Club directly before you register or pay. Last checked August 2026.

Powered by GoogleBeautiful spot on the lake. Thanks Matt and staff for your hospitality. We visited from our club in Fort Worth, Texas and exchanged Burgees!
We love going there for dinner, swims, and sailing. Bonfires are great also!
On may 22nd my entire family,11 adults dined . My daughter ordered the cooked salmon. When her entree arrived half the fish was entirely raw. The man that arrived never apologized nor asked if she would like something else. Instead he went on to state how they use the highest grade of salmon for sushi. It was not sushi that was ordered. He was extremely defensive of the restaurant instead of pleasing the customer. I will say the waitress who saw the ‘‘twas fish was apologetic. Rita Fries
Went there for the Mother's Day brunch! Except for the lost Pandemic year we have never missed it! Excellent food, good variety, great atmosphere and the wait staff was terrific! The buffet was handled differently of course but the staff was efficient, friendly and accommodating given the circumstances! All Covid protocols were followed and things went seamlessly! A wonderful time, something we look forward to every year!
I threw a birthday party at the yacht club. Spent 1800 dollars. It was Versace themed. I had fun but they were rude to me. The found alcohol on the bathroom floor and told me if they caught something like that again they would shut it down. like how am I supposed to control that. The security that I paid lol, yelled at me for using the door that we came in. Instead of saying we aren't using that door anymore or locking it he just yelled at me a gave me a rude look. Not the nicest people. We are members at this place and eat often. The food was good yet they didn't make it it was ordered from other places. I was disappointed. Usually when I go the people are so nice.
