Powered by GoogleThe new YMCA is a nice facility, but I think on weekends, specifically Saturdays, they should be open longer than 4 pm. People work all week, they shouldn’t have to be rushed coming to the Y. Today after my workout, I finished with my workout around 3:30 and I sat in my car a while and saw families going in to swim, then I saw them come back out and go to their cars and leave because they were about to close. One family in particular, both sons have special needs and one of the sons was smiling ear to ear and looked happy to be going swimming, but they too walked back to their car and left. I wish the Harrisburg YMCA would reconsider staying open longer on Saturdays.
This is a very nice YMCA, and probably one of the newest ones in the Charlotte area. It even has a PT facility. I joined because it has an indoor pool, and I like to swim. But it has so much more to offer. There is something for everyone.
Paid a lot for a membership just for the basketball courts and the pool to be reserved by “families and classes” safe to say I won’t be renewing my membership.
I really enjoyed the locker room, it was very clean and I had the privacy that we should all have when changing clothes. The facility has a very positive vibe so far, and the staff at the front desk was very friendly and efficient. Highly recommended for families, and definitely handicap friendly. Parking lot is huge, location is good. Make sure you go to the new address on z max blvd...and not the old one at town hall. Two thumbs up
Love everything about this bright shiny new facility except the music sometimes. I understand upbeat and lively music in the fitness areas BUT some spa like music would be welcome in the shower rooms. After a good work out, gentle music while we shower would be so pleasant.
