Agree with the other reviews, it is not easy to come here if you are a member of other YMCAs, staff literally kicked me out in the MIDDLE of my workout in front of everyone, made it so awkward!! all because management couldn't make up their mind whether i could actually be there or not. at least tell me at the end. what difference does one person make in a facility, just so unnecessary.

If you are a senior do not go this YMCA. If you have Medicare you can go to any other YMCA in the area through your insurance. I went there to take a water class today. After the class they told me I can longer come here unless I have a paid membership. I have national wide coverage but this YMCA refuses to honor that. I just wanted to take just one class and they said I have to pay full membership. They could still get paid if they went through the insurance. But they rather take money directly from member not understanding seniors are on low income budget. This was very disheartening because I really loved the class. So beware nationwide is not for this particular YMCA.

Terrible customer service, extremely rude for no reason and taking it out on the members or “visitors” from a different ymca, I came here once and never again, the African American lady with a pixie cut at the front desk to sign in was extremely rude and made me feel extremely unwelcome and embarrassed, also said that there was no free trial for people that were interested in joining, which I don’t think is the truth. I’m never walking in this ymca again and it makes the whole company look bad because of one rude associate who was at the front desk.

Came as an international member and compared to the Madison YMCA, this one truly blows. Getting in as a international member was a pain in the butt where as in other locations I'd just scan my card and get in. Although the interior of the YMCA was very beautiful, I cannot say the same about the gym. All of the machine and cardio area is all standard except the free weight area. All of the weights are jumbled across the place and overall the equipment feels very cheap. Along with that, I was deadlifting with a friend and one of the staff rudely tells us to stop even though the equipment is so poor. My last and final critique is how the changing rooms are divided. Quite honestly I understand the separation between age groups like 13-15 and 18+ changing rooms. This YMCA has a boys and girls changing room from 1-24 and adult changing room 24+. Call me crazy but I find it creepy that the Y is keeping 20+ year olds within the boys room. Overall, the pool may be significantly better but this Y is not my favorite.

This is one of the best Y's i have seen. The recent experiences with the staff at the swimming pool is taking away confidence that they will save when in trouble in pool. 1. They need psychological counseling so that they keep their frustrations at home and don't bring it to work. 2. They should constantly been reminded that they are not working at Ulta Beauty providing suggestions and services based on the skin tone of the people approaching for support or help. Each and every member pays the same membership fees and wish the services are not based on how one looks but based on what is paid for. 3. I did not had my phone to record how one of the trainer / life guard behaved showing his frustration while i asked for his help. 4. My wife says some members while in women's room see people of color as if those people does not belong here and its frustrating to see the old mindset during the AI times. Please educate them to live like humans, support and respect each other. 5. Interpersonal Training is must here to keep them good human beings...Please someone from management work with the staff....
