THE R CHILD is an NJ-licensed, STEM-accredited tech school running robotics and STEAM camps serving Tenafly and the Closter/Demarest area. Camps are weekly, Monday to Friday, and split by age: an Explorers camp for ages 3–5, and STEAM and Robotics camps for ages 5–8 and 9–14. Younger campers do LEGO robotics, Scratch coding, Minecraft coding and builds, 3D printing and modelling, makerspace work and digital art; older campers add VEX IQ robotics, Roblox game design, Python and Tinkercad/Blender 3D modelling. A Summer STEM Academy half-day edition for ages 9–14 runs Monday to Friday, 4:00pm–7:00pm.
