Penguin Coding School runs full-day summer camp at its Brooklyn locations, 9am to 3pm Monday to Friday from late June through early September, with early and extended day available; Cobble Hill is one of its two Brooklyn sites alongside Park Slope. Campers are grouped by age and experience: ages 6-9 work in Minecraft or Scratch, ages 9-12 in Python or Roblox scripting, and teens 13-18 can join a STEM counselor-in-training program that teaches them to mentor younger kids. Days mix screen coding with off-screen STEM - Lego robotics, 3D printing and hands-on science experiments - plus daily outdoor time, weather permitting, and students build fully autonomous Lego robots ending in an optional Battlebot tournament.
