Exploratores is a STEM studio and makerspace in Westfield whose summer camps run Monday through Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., for ages 6-11 at $395/week, with lessons developed by an MIT Ph.D. in particle physics and a Ph.D. in clinical psychology. Each week has a theme — Light, Science, Art & Illusions; LEGO Robotics & Engineering (building and coding with LEGO SPIKE kits); Invention & Engineering; Space Science & Engineering (rocketry and solar-powered Mars rovers); and Renewable Energy & Engineering — and each day moves through lesson time, building a STEM project, experiment time, and makerspace time. These are half-day camps capped at 12 students; a separate 3D printing camp runs 2-4 p.m. for ages 8-12, and one-day 3-hour mini camps for grades 1-5 are offered at $90.

Exploratores has everything a kid would want- beautiful space with so many projects displayed, legos and activities. Iskra, the owner, was a pleasure to work with. She was excited to customize the party and offered so many suggestions for the theme my daughter picked. Although we went with a basic package it was still perfect and we had to do very little.
