theCoderSchool is a coding school for kids founded in 2013, now a franchise of over 70 locations teaching more than 7,000 students a week; this is its Bayside location in Queens. Its summer coding camps serve ages roughly 7-14 and run a full week each, covering video game development, robotics, Minecraft, Roblox, JavaScript with HTML/CSS and mobile game development. Each camp carries an age and skill-level recommendation, though the school says placement is open to discussion based on a child's coding experience. Camps typically start mid-morning and end early afternoon, and some are offered as half-days.

My son Ethan. A. has attended the coder school for two years. He loves the atmosphere at the school. The environment is conducive to learning. A healthy environment for kinds to learn and interact. Workshops and opportunity to present projects are aspects he enjoys. His coach, Mr. Thomas is a gem. He is attentive to Ethan's development.
I go here as as a student, the schools environment is really friendly and all the staff is kind. My coach, Thomas is especially great. he manages to make the class feel approachable while still learning a lot, the summer camps are also a lot of fun.
My son absolutely loves his coding instructor Mohammad. He looks forward to his session every week and stays engaged the entire time. Mohammad explains concepts clearly, is patient, and truly knows how to connect with my son. Tina at the front desk is warm, friendly, and always helpful, which makes every visit pleasant and easy. Thank you!
We’ve been hearing great things about thecoderschool from my son’s best friend and decided to try it out for ourselves. My son couldn’t have been more happy with his experience at the 3D printing camp he attended. The instructors were super attentive and made sure he had a great time. Everyone at the school is very friendly and helpful, especially Tina. The school has a wonderful learning environment and made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. We can’t wait to try out another camp!
