Penguin Coding School's Park Slope location at 424 7th Avenue runs full-day summer camp, 9am to 3pm Monday to Friday, from late June through early September, with early and extended day available. Campers are grouped by age and experience: ages 6-9 work in Minecraft or Scratch, ages 9-12 in Python or Roblox scripting, and teens 13-18 can join a STEM counselor-in-training program that teaches them to mentor younger kids. A typical day mixes screen coding with off-screen STEM - Lego robotics, 3D printing and hands-on science experiments - plus outdoor time daily, weather permitting. Students build fully autonomous Lego robots, with an optional Battlebot tournament at the end of the week.
