I like Genesis but for the love of god can we please get new cardio machines and equipment at this location. The ellipticals are so junky I genuinely can’t do my workout on them. This is the first time I’ve been to this location in like 2-3 years even though it’s closest to my residence and I wanted to see if they finally replaced some of these machines, but I guess I will just keep going to 132nd and center instead!

Just started 2026 membership at the Sprague location. Previously went to the 132nd Street location. Only switched locations because 132nd became a Platinum level club and my health insurance wouldn't pay the higher price. Otherwise I would've stayed at 132nd because it is nicer in many ways. Sprague has older equipment that either needs repairs or replaced. The mens locker room smells bad. I do like their track better though. Two of the three rowing machines don't work; I reported this to the front desk a few days ago but still aren't fixed. They could improve the lighting on the first floor. Signed up with Jason Johnson who was very helpful.

Just like every gym getting out of the contract is horrible. I am also a owner of a training facility for basketball and we don't require 30 days notice because of gyms like this. I got a membership for my daughter to lift and practice swimming before her season and now we have a membership until March. Do not sign up if you are not willing to pay for 2 months you don't need. Never coming back!

I went to Genesis - Sprague location today with the intention of cancelling my membership...until I met Jason Johnson the assistant manager. I have been paying for but not using my membership for over a year. Jason took the time to ask me some key questions and pointed out that I am already lock in for another 45 days so I should take the opportunity to utilize the facility and make a more informed decision. I am scheduled to meet with a trainer (free service that I never took advantage of!) and I will evaluate my options. Jason was very professional and encouraging. I am hoping that I find my future interactions with staff to be the same. My stars are for Jason. He is a very welcoming and professional face at Genesis - Sprague!

Genesis Health Club Sprauge is a average to nice gym. It has a pool cardio movie theater half court basket ball lots of cardio equipment a racket ball court and more. The reason why I would give it a 3.5 of 5 (I rounded down to a 3) is the flooring on the 1st floor is in bad shape. Needs to be at the least cleaned if not replaced. Some equipment has rust spots and pads that are torn and could use being replaced. One stair machine in the cardio theater needed service as it was not operating as it should. Again not a bad gym if it’s close to you it’s worth going but there are other locations that are nicer and newer.
