The Fremont Family YMCA runs summer day camp, including the Christensen Family YMCA Camp for youth ages 6–13 (with week-long sessions for ages 4–5) and a Summer Discovery/Fun Club program at Discovery Lake. Camp days run 9:00am–4:00pm with outdoor activities, sports, swimming, and field trips; extended care is available. Operated by the nonprofit Fremont Family YMCA.

★bryanI was really hoping to do some roller skating at the YMCA this Saturday at 1:00 p.m. here as advertised on their website with the times the dates and everything but soon as I got there from Columbus Nebraska I asked one of the employees where this was at she led me to a basketball Court and said here it is so there was no rental for $3 of none of that stuff as advertised so I don't know if that's just for the local people yes I am a member of the YMCA I scan my little key card what a waste of a trip and gas this was the closest place for roller skating I don't know if there was another area that actually had the place to roller skate I'm not doing it in a basketball court with people shooting hoops and a volleyball net in the middle I thought it was odd that there was no signs for it probably won't do this again

I had a couple good conversations with the ladies while there and they were super nice and friendly. Will be coming back more for skating. Also had free snacks and hotdogs. The environment was fun and they played some pretty good music!
★★★Brett RashNice facility, it felt pretty updated and clean. The low rating is due to the pool area (we were here for a swim meet). The balcony seating (only option) was VERY HOT. I obviously don't carry a thermometer with me, but I would guess it was close 90F up there. We actually had to go stand in the hall and watch the swim meet from the hallway windows because the heat was making my wife sick. This honestly pretty unacceptable, they either need to offer different seating (chairs/other seating not allowed in the hallway that faces the pool) or provide better cooling for that balcony.
★★★★★Nathan WilliamsThe YMCA has 5 basketball courts, tennis courts, indoor walking 1/10 mile, weight room and training equipment. They have a very large swimming pool that you can swim laps, or workout. The pool also has a hot tub and steam room. There is a lot more to the Y check out their website.
★★Jim RThis is a nice facility, but my biggest complaint is the pool police. They tell you "You can't do this, you can't do that, you can't wear this, you can't wear that". Yet they think nothing of people spreading their fecal bacteria in the hot tub and pool when they enter without taking a nude shower first. It is one of the rules there, but it is NEVER enforced. Hot tubs, especially, are bad places as the bacteria is in a warm environment, and people breathe it in when the tub is active. For a "family" Y, they are much more concerned about image that they are about the safety of the patrons. Personally, I never feel welcome in the pool area. I always feel like I'm being watched for violations. Oddly enough, I'm one of the few that actually does shower before I go in.
