I truly love this place. I've learned quickly how outta shape I am. But on the way to correcting that issue. All the classes are phenomenal, the trainer's are all experts at what they do. I've jumped in on several classes thinking this is going to be a piece of cake "it's not" it's work, and everyone seems to take their jobs seriously. I believe this is one of the best decisions I could've ever made to reclaim my health back. Oh, and everything's top notch from the pool, hot tub, sauna and steam room work out classes and on the gymnasium floor. It's a beautiful place to be.,..

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ As a member who gets in here quite frequently, I can easily say I love coming to this Genesis location! The gym has a great layout, an excellent selection of top-tier equipment, and everything is always kept clean and well-maintained. A massive shout-out to the management team and staff, they are incredibly accommodating, welcoming, and genuinely care about the members. You can really tell that leadership takes pride in running a great facility and creating a positive, motivating environment every time you walk through the door. Whether you're just starting out or have been working out for years, this place has everything you need. Definitely recommend checking them out if you're looking for the best place to train in Independence/Lees Summit!

My man Austin is a goat! He got us in and set me up with Malaya who was beautiful and did a wonderful job showing me the gym. It is amazing big and has everything anyone looking to lose weight gain muscle or just maintain they’re current physique. If you are living in independence or just passing through and looking for the perfect gym this is exactly the place to go for swimming laps, bicycling or weightlifting. By far the best gym I have ever been to in my life.

The staff at the independence location are so kind!! I recently joined and love it! Personal training has been the best thing ever for me and i can definitely say it’s because of my trainer Mitch!! He will push you and make sure you do everything correctly!! He also listens to your body with you and never goes more than it can handle to avoid injuries! He’s extremely accommodating and flexible to where I have been able to meet my goals even with my hectic busy schedule!! 10/10 recommend!!

In my personal experience, this was one of the most uncomfortable and negative gym environments I have encountered. I paid my membership on time each month, but I felt my concerns were not properly addressed. During a phone call, I was told by the club manager, Austin, he is friends with Malik, which I personally felt created a conflict of interest. During my time there, I had repeated interactions with a member (Malik Baker) that I personally experienced as intimidating and inappropriate. On two occasions, he yelled in my ear, and he made personal, intrusive comments and sexually-charged questions that made me uncomfortable, including asking about my relationships. These interactions made me feel unsafe and distressed, and I later sought therapy because of how I felt; the situation affected me. I also experienced an incident where another individual made statements that I personally interpreted as threatening. When I reported this to management at the time (I don't believe it's the current management/so not Austin at that time), I was told they could not identify the individual or review camera footage from the time I provided. Because of this response, I felt my safety concerns were not taken seriously. Based on what I personally observed and experienced, I did not feel supported by the staff when raising these issues. I am sharing this review to describe my experience and encourage others to take their safety seriously and report concerning situations to the appropriate authorities if necessary. This review reflects only my personal experience and perspective.
