I've seen cleaner showers in prison movies. I've been thinking a lot about how they can make the bathroom clean again. While it's admirable that they allow homeless people to shower there, they also need to make it easier for the staff to clean. It's a tight space and the fifth is layered on fifth. It's going to take both renovation and a robust staff cleaning ethic to turn this place around. Good luck. The pool was murky and my confidence in its cleanliness was soured by my pre-pool shower experience. On the plus side, it is only $5 to get in. But I have to wonder, if it cost more, could they hire a full time janitor.

Came for the winter pool party and we had a great time! There was arts and crafts to do, basketball and ping pong to play and of course the pool to swim in. Best $15 spent for the day. My kids and I really enjoyed ourselves. ($5 per person)

If you want treated funny and lied on visit their pool .even when they got no other people in there they will still make one up thebwhite guard polite willing bto do a good job ,black guard wow very rude and short he was muttering stuff to himself and me and one white kid showed up .he was mad had to get up and grab a ball ,then had the nerve to try to lie on mine ,stated things not true , but funny thing was there was no one else in there just me and my camera and when he tried it .I made sure to record what truth was and he got caught lying his bad for trying that one he didn't know until after who I was and perhaps why I was there. Even the boss was there and obviously he could easily be bought made clear he was just a body to fill spot .but ok that's not my choice or say so on to the point . all they needed to know was that I bought my pass also just like the rest and have every right to be there also .if they guy can't be polite and respectful then perhaps he doesn't need to be employed at parks and recreation for KC mo. Fr come on people these rec center is not your house and the rules are very logical .but that doesn't mean to be completely out of line disrespectful to everyone because your there .that's not fair to the families that even come in .Lord knows not many even do anymore but gosh you guys should find just a hair of compassion for the public . sometimes kindness goes further than you think. .I'm a review artist for the star and they didn't know it till one was so bored with patrons they actually tried it on me .then you should have seen their attitude change..unbeleiveble how they treat the general public.very rude and assuming.my suggestion is visit a better location where they will treat you fair and polite.

Great experience swimming in the pool. Clean and Cheap pass for swimming. There are toys and noodles to use at the pool. A little cold for littles. But overall a great place to swim
