Powered by GooglePrivate Club with great food and outstanding service. The owners are great folks and were speaking with the members while clearing tables, and running food.
The dock is in shambles the service is rude because they get an automatic 20% tip and if you cancel an order right after you make it they will target you and your family and the manager RILEY is rude and judgemental and took one look at me and my family and called to report that we aren't allowed to use the pool because after 24 years of being a member we are no longer allowed. I know countless members who have kids that still go to the pool that don't live there but they are still allowed it is only because the manager RILEY decided to forcefully make it known that my family "were going against the rules" because apparently she knew we lived locally so because of that after 24years of being a member I'm taken off because she had to put her nose into our business because I know she was mad about cancelling that order because she even called my mother and made her pay for the order we cancelled even though we never even got it! She took advantage of my mother and targeted my family and I absolutely don't recommend going there for their overpriced food that is not even worth it. And they can give you the crappiest service imaginable because they automatically get tipped. How is that fair? Especially since they decided 20% above average tip is fair and then have a tip section if you want to tip more but I know more than half of these people don't see that automatic tip part and tip their waitress so they end up getting double. Watch out because the newamagement is very greedy.
Held my wedding here and the experience was amazing. The owners seriously go out of their way to make you feel special. Food was 10/10 and the service was amazing.
Have been a resident and club member since the first year, 1989. The GPYC is a fun place to meet new friends, entertain guests, and socialize with neighbors. The restaurant offers excellent food and the view across the James River is priceless. We keep our 23' boat in the marina and love boating up the James all summer. Great place to keep your boat. Update- new owners 18 months ago have done an outstanding job! New menu, new hours, many new improvements, friendly staff, great food, and still a great place for our family to be.
Stay away from this place. The new owners are not honest people and will take advantage of you if possible. Marina is not well maintained, power system is terrible in the docs, they charge exorbitant prices for sub par food.
