Colonial Baseball Instruction runs multi-day summer baseball camps in Williamsburg, with station work covering tee work and swing breakdown, live batting practice, infield defense, pitching and throwing, catching and base running, plus small-sided tactical games and full game play at the end of each day. Summer camps are held outdoors at Walsingham Academy's upper school baseball field or Jamestown High School, with players grouped by age and skill level and a maximum 7:1 camper-to-staff ratio. Posted summer sessions run four days, 9am-3pm, with a half-day option ending at 12:30pm, for ages 7-13 (rising 2nd-9th grades). The program also offers private lessons and free community clinics in partnership with WJCC Schools.

Powered by GoogleIt has been great working with Coach Ian and Coach Hector. Highly recommend going there!
Coach Ian is an attention to detail instructor. He looks at all of the mechanical pieces that a pitcher or hitter does and helps to readjust and improve! He personalizes it for each player. Highly recommend him!! The best!
This was a wonderful experience for us. The coach was extremely patient and knowledgeable. He had great drills to develop skills and could spot my sons trouble areas quickly. He worked with my son and found ways to target those areas. His suggestions were most helpful. He was kind and friendly. We will be booking more lessons again in the future and I would recommend this training facility to friends and family.
I don’t leave reviews often, but our experience with Colonial Baseball and Coach Ian specifically was too good to not highlight. It was my sons first experience with a 1:1 batting coach and he was nervous leading up to his first practice. Couch Ian helped make my son feel comfortable, was patient with him, and gave clear understandable direction during the entire practice. He gave analogies for movements he was teaching throughout that my 10yr old could relate to and easily remember when he left. At the end of practice Coach Ian recapped the entire practice and had my son give him his top 2 take away’s. He also gave him homework on what to work on more throughout the week. Amazing to see how much progress he was able to make already in just an hour. We will definitely be scheduling more sessions with Coach Ian!
My 11-year-old son had a 1-hour pitching lesson with Coach Ian yesterday and we both took A LOT of great information away from it! Although my son has had several years of successful pitching in travel ball, I knew he needed to adjust some of his mechanics to get more power out of his efforts and to prevent future injury. The right mechanics make a big difference. Coach Ian provided great instruction as well as drills we can easily follow through with at home. He engaged easily with my son, making it easy for him to relax and “get outside of his comfort zone” as he tried to let bad habits go and try the new adjustments Coach Ian suggested. The lesson was well-organized and flowed naturally from one aspect of pitching to another, all adjusted appropriately to the right pace and level of instruction for his age and skill level. Over the past few years, both of my sons have also had hitting lessons with Coach Mike as well as attended baseball camps (one-day and week-long.) Every single CBI experience has been positive and productive. I highly recommend CBI services and staff to anyone looking to develop their baseball skills!
