Google Reviews
Powered by GoogleDon't be fooled by the fake 5-stars attempting to bolster their rating after honest reviews pulled back the curtain on this fledgling group. This org is an abysmal joke. My 9-yr old son was put out of a soccer game after finally defending himself against a rogue team where subpar players kept trying to elbow him and even tried to pick him up and tackle him (yeah, soccer). The same players last year tripped my son, a repeat state track medalist-- running full speed and then high-fived each other for their thuggish move without consequence. He could have been SEVERELY injured at that speed! Garland Soccer Association did nothing about it then or now-- unless you count attempting to suspend me from the field for standing up for my child while their board member's daughter (& a friend/family member of the opposing team) did nothing to protect the kids. Multiple parents sent letters and complaints-- never addressed. I reported to North TX Soccer, and they, too, did nothing about it-- despite written complaints and video evidence. Their large, overbearing ref director was more upset by my promise, not threat, to legally escalate the issue should my son be physically injured during one of these unaddressed attacks (despite multiple complaints) than she was with properly training her revolving door of ill-equipped referees. This particular ref admitted to being 2-years in and still unqualified and uncertain. We were contemplating leaving this dying association last year after so many games were being scheduled out of the city due to steadily declining player census. This year, my son's team played the same teams 3x-- every other week-- again, because of pitiful enrollment. I played, coached, and put 4 sons through GSA (without incident), and watching its fall had already convinced me to place my athlete elsewhere. We tried to stick it out even when my son was being recruited by select teams. The fields are empty, and the 'management' is elementary at best. If your child is serious about soccer, and you're serious about safety, avoid GSA. PSA was a great time with an elevated experience-- better fields, indoor opportunities, and qualified, higher-caliber professionals at the helm. Or, invest in joining a select team. Teams are aggressive in a professional manner, not thuggishly fighting for a trophy by any means necessary and using their family members to make it happen. UPDATE: Lovely scripted response. But also note that, despite video evidence and multiple written statements and complaints, no parents were ever contacted for follow-up or investigation. It's amazing how much cleaner other orgs play and operate. Their fields also stay crowded, and we have yet to play the same team on repeat in one season. The investment has been wonderful!
The Garland Soccer Association’s TOPSoccer program is amazing! The director, Tommy Brooker, staff and specially all the volunteers do fantastic work. They are kind, patient and meet kiddos where they are while give them encouragement to participate and have fun.
The Garland Soccer Association’s TOPSoccer program is truly outstanding! It provides an inclusive, supportive, and fun environment for athletes of all abilities to enjoy the game of soccer. The coaches, volunteers, and organizers show genuine care and dedication—making sure every player feels valued and celebrated. The program not only builds soccer skills but also encourages teamwork, confidence, and friendships. It’s inspiring to see how much joy and growth it brings to the players and their families. Highly recommend this program to anyone looking for a positive and meaningful soccer experience in the Garland community!
My kids have played for GSA teams for the past 9–10 years. We’ve had some great coaches, and my kids have really enjoyed their time playing soccer. Two of our kids are grown and and we now only have one still young enough to play. Communication has always been excellent, and Winters Park is such a convenient location. No complaints at all!
