Worst experience of my life. PAID for a monthly swim pass and got it revoked without any warning what so ever. Stole my money and refuses to give it back even though I was unable to use my pass that I paid for. 0/10 service when asked why, the aquatic director turned and walked away as I was talking. Absolutely rude.

Beautiful facility. Wonderful atmosphere to work out in, with many exercise options including a full schedule of classes.

Horrible experience here! Unfortunately the staff doesn’t know what they’re doing. The older gentleman in charge of guest experience, I believe his name tag said Director, did everything but make the experience great. They took ALL of my personal Information then wanted to tell me that I needed to go somewhere else after I wouldn’t fork over $150!

I need the sauna for heath reason, but this sauna is so tiny and it’s never really gets fully hot and it’s coed and so this always overcrowded. I miss my home Y in Asheville we have hot tubs. We have saunas and steam rooms in the dressing room rooms. I’ve had a y membership for years and this is the first time that I’m actually having to look at alternative options in the area for a decent quality sauna.

I’ve been using the Foundation YMCA for some years now, and I am genuinely grateful to have another option in the area alongside the Harrison Family YMCA. The facility is new, very clean, and well-equipped. The gym is well-stocked, and the staff is consistently courteous and professional. That said, the pool experience doesn’t always meet the standards I’ve come to expect from a YMCA. Specifically, weekday afternoons and weekends can become CHAOTIC! A small group of unsupervised juveniles often overtakes the lanes, disrupting members who are there to actually swim. On one occasion, my workout was completely ruined when someone threw a swimming board at my head, clearly unacceptable. While I do believe the staff is doing their best, they currently don’t have a firm grip on this recurring issue (which is getting worse overtime). With better supervision of the pool during weekends and afternoon hours, this YMCA could easily become a top-tier facility.
