Foss Swim School is a year-round swim-lesson franchise with 11 Minnesota locations; its Richfield school offers group and private swimming lessons for infants through older children, plus condensed 2-week and 4-week summer swim 'camps' that repackage the same lesson curriculum. It is a swim-lesson business rather than a traditional day camp.

Powered by GoogleI've tried many swim lessons with my kids, but Foss got my hesitant daughter swimming on her own within a few weeks. Worth the cost, especially for kids who need extra support.
We've gone to a few Foss locations over the years. They have always done an excellent job. The facilities, warm pool and pool area, and especially the intructors make it a great experience for the kids. And the results speak for themselves. Would recommend. Thanks guys!!
Swim instructors are great, front desk is terrible. I’ve done like 5 swim quarters for my son here and I’ve never been greeted (never seen anyone else get greeted) which is like the minimum standard. They always look down or at their screen to purposely avoid. At $33 a class it’s the least they can do. Even when I need to reschedule a class I’m not greeted it’s very much what do you want energy. I don’t know any business that doesn’t greet their customers or act welcoming. If it wasn’t for the great swim instructors and location convenience I would not be back.
Been going here with the kiddo for over a year now. The teachers are great and learn a lot. Swim lessons weather here or another place is crucial for confidence and learning to swim and stay above water. The classes are a little full would be nice if there were 3 kids vs 4 for instructor's. Even at 4 they still get enough time to learn and watch the others. Overall great swim school for all ages from babies to toddlers to young kids.
The front desk staff at the Edina location for the Fall 2025 season was rude and unhelpful during my son’s final day of the session. He was excited to receive his completion ribbon and asked a simple question about seeing the colors of the ribbons, but the staff response was dismissive and she was unwilling. The staff was rude to him which left him feeling uncomfortable. This was a disappointing way to end the program and did not reflect a supportive environment for celebrating children’s achievements. Staff should be more courteous and respectful when interacting with kids and families.
