Foss Swim School is a year-round swim-lesson franchise with 11 Minnesota locations; its Maple Grove school offers group and private swimming lessons for infants through older children, plus condensed 2-week and 4-week summer swim 'camps' that repackage the same lesson curriculum. It is a swim-lesson business rather than a traditional day camp.

Powered by GoogleSwim instructor, Jessica, was fantastic and it is great if you never plan to miss a class. Before committing we knew about 2 weeks that we would be out of town and we asked about their rescheduling protocols. We were misinformed that it is very easy to reschedule. Reality is, it is practically impossible to reschedule and they are unwilling to work with you. Think twice before you sign up if you have an infant that may be teething and starting solids- if they get diarrhea they cannot be in swim diapers and you will be out the $400 for classes.
I’ve had 1:1 3yr old class at MGCC vs Foss in MG w a ratio of 1:4 kids and i’d definitely pay for a 1:1 at the community ctr again. Don’t let a bargain sway you. It’s loud, the lanes in the pool that are used are max 4X10’ and if one kid is acting up it takes away from the whole class. I spoke up. I’m not happy about being offered something else. I just think they need to be more pro active about behaviors in class. Or ask the parent to intervene and take a time out to review what’s acceptable.
Foss has become almost a second home! We reccomend to everyone we know whether or not they even have kids. The staff is all around fantastic. Even if we get one closer to home we will probably still travel to this one. 10/10!!!!
Friendly , Professional Staff, Welcoming, Clean Environment . Great Swim Instructors. Jessica is helping me move away from my pool anxiety. Much appreciation to Jody also who has helped managed my account. Because of them I remain excited for my swim sessions.
For this price, they should be private lessons. We returned only for the convenient scheduling. Progress is painstakingly slow. It took my daughter a long time to get used to the class structure. At first, she regressed. We finally saw some minimal improvement about 3 months in. During the summer I’ll be doing lessons out at Monticello Community Center, where I feel I get better value.
