Junior Week is a five-day sailing day camp for ages 6-18 on a rural point of the lower Chesapeake Bay at Deltaville, open to club members and the public. Days run 9 AM-12 PM and 1 PM-4 PM and mix sailing with swimming, knots, weather, kayaking, navigation, beach exploring, crabbing and marine life, with classes streamed by boat and level: Beginner Opti (6-10, doublehanded in club boats), Intermediate Opti (8-12), Advanced Opti (9+), Laser and Beginner/Advanced 420 (12+), and Explorers keelboat sailing (12+). Older classes require sailors to bring their own boat, and all campers pass a two-part swim test on the first morning. A Counselor-in-Training track is open to ages 13-18 with three prior Junior Weeks, and the club also runs shorter summer sailing school mini-camps.

Great yacht club! Amazing Junior Program for kids from beginners to those competing at the international level. All the families are extremely welcoming!

Great time at sailing lessons for our grandkids! We adults had fun being part of the program too.

If you want to be around people who are really passionate about sailing yet embrace "I just want to learn and am not an expert" sailors, this is your place. The best way to make friends is get in and VOLUNTEER, as it is a volunteer-driven club.
