Youth Sailing Virginia is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit community sailing centre at historic Fort Monroe in Hampton, and one of 43 US Sailing accredited community sailing centers in the country. It runs week-long half-day summer sessions taught by US Sailing certified instructors, streamed as Beginner, Intermediate, Intro to Racing, Water Safety and Survival, and an all-ages Family Learn to Sail; a Pram Camp added in 2024 takes children from age eight. The organisation also provides a practice and regatta venue for area high-school sailing teams, and offers scholarships so cost is not a barrier to attending.
