The Alexandria Police Youth Camp is a nonprofit that has sent Alexandria, Virginia, children to a week of free overnight summer camp in Kilmarnock since 1947. On its 100-acre waterfront site (run in partnership with the Northern Neck Family YMCA at Camp Kekoka), up to 150 kids each summer attend at no cost for waterfront activities such as sailing, kayaking, tubing, waterskiing, fishing and windsurfing, plus character-building programs.
