Subject: Formal Consumer Complaint Regarding Unfair Treatment and Refusal to Provide Promised Make‑Up Classes I am submitting a formal complaint regarding Exxcel Gymnastics in Newton, MA, for misleading parents, unfair treatment of children, and refusing to provide make‑up classes that were previously promised. On January 22, 2026, the program supervisor confirmed that my child would receive a make‑up class for the session missed on January 19 due to the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday. However, on January 26, the gym closed again because of a snowstorm. When we called the office on Wednesday to schedule a make‑up class for the snow‑day closure, we were told that all Wednesday class times were full and no make‑up options were available. On Thursday afternoon, I called again to request a make‑up class for the snow‑day cancellation. At first, the staff told me that they could schedule my child for a class on February 5 at 5:00 PM. Immediately afterward, they changed their position and said the make‑up could not be provided because we had “exceeded the allowed number of make‑ups.” During the call, the staff were extremely rude, refused to listen to my explanation, and the supervisor abruptly hung up on me despite my repeated attempts to communicate respectfully. This conduct is unacceptable. The gym had already agreed to provide the make‑up class, and both missed sessions were caused by the gym’s own holiday schedule and weather‑related closure—not by us. Their inconsistent explanations, refusal to honor their commitment, and disrespectful behavior toward parents and children constitute unfair and misleading business practices. I am requesting that the appropriate consumer protection authorities investigate this matter and require Exxcel Gymnastics to provide the make‑up class that was originally promised to my daughter. My daughter live Gymnastics ,But because their office is so unfair to us, she become so unhappy and frustrated.

This is a fun place for a kid's birthday party. The facility has a great history of fostering Olympic level talent.

Went there for a kids birthday party. Looks like a very serious gym (in a good way). Not a lot of fuzz, just sweat.

This place is great for birthday parties for your kids, its amazing what your kids can learn in such a short class. I saw once a birthday party for little 5 year old kids, and the birthday boy did his first ever kartweel. And it was a really good begging kartweel. Also there was an obsticle course, a foam pit that you can junp in, a really bouncy trampolene and a zipline, there is also rings that you can swing on to get into the foam pit...etc. its just so amazing what these instructers can do to get kids interested in gymnastics, while having fun, and then afterwards eating cake! But I did hear that they are a little stricked with their students that take private lessons and they are always going a little hard on them, but sometimes that's what's needed. I personally really like this place, and if a birthday is coming up to your son and/or daughter, Exxcel is the place to do it.
