I have been trying for 3 months to officially cancel my son registration for the Spring season with no success. I followed the instructions on your website, sent 6 emails and registration still hasn't been canceled. Total disregard and no communication from your organization towards parents/player. Pretty sad. I’m extremely disappointed with EMSA and the way this season has been handled. A few weeks ago, i began receiving texts from the coach commissioner, Veronica, which included the other parents informing us that there is currently no coach for the team. We were asked if anyone would like to volunteer on several occasions and that if a volunteer coach is not found by the 24th, the girls will not be able to play and we will only receive a partial refund because uniforms have already been ordered. This situation feels very disorganized. Parents should not feel pressured to step into a coaching role—especially those of us who have little to no soccer experience and enrolled our children specifically so they could learn from qualified volunteers. It is also frustrating to be told we must absorb the cost of uniforms that may never be used. If no coach had been secured, it raises the question of why uniforms were ordered in the first place. I understand Veronica may simply be communicating on behalf of the association, but clear contact information and proactive communication from EMSA would have gone a long way in reducing the confusion and frustration many parents are feeling. I truly hope EMSA improves its planning and communication moving forward. I signed my daughter up because I had heard positive things about this league, and I would like to see it live up to that reputation.

I’ve been with the association for over 6 years now. I think people need to realize that just because we’re branded. Doesn’t mean we’re supposed to be perfect. We’re humans, same as everyone else, we make mistakes but we learn from them and grow. This association is amazing, when it comes to ensuring the safety of the players, the refs, the coaches. All while being fair and fun.
