They stress that winning is nice (and they do win quite often) but achieving personal growth and excellence is first and foremost. The dance students become a family. They learn teamwork, confidence (not arrogance), how to support others, how to strive for their personal best, how to work hard, how to show up even when it's hard, how to receive professional criticism, how to win the right way, and even how to lose the right way. The list goes on. We've been at DKDS for more than 10 years. The growth of our daughter on that stage, and as a person, is wonderful to watch. As parents, we're quite proud of her. Not because she's perfect but because she works hard and she's a good kid. She's around other good kids. We see the same in all of her team. These are skills they're going to take with them through life. This studio has been excelling for decades. There's a reason for that, and as parents, we trust the process.

My youngest enjoys "princess dance camp" in the summer and a fun and energizing weekly dance class with Miss Annmarie - who is AMAZING!!!! My oldest started out in recreation classes and became part of the competition dance team last year. She had a wonderful experience and grew so much in her skill level and maturity as a dancer.
