Concord Youth Theatre (CYT), founded in 1976, runs summer theatre workshops in Concord for young people from age 4 through middle school. Offerings range from one-week creative workshops such as Center Stage Players (grades 1-6), where students dramatize familiar stories with songs and simple dances and give an informal performance for family, to a three-week Summer Stock Troupe (grades 6-8) that sharpens performance skills. Classes cover drama, dance, playmaking and improvisation, and all instructors hold degrees in theater, performing arts or educational theater.

Communicated that my daughter would be a little late to audition. Showed up five mins late and we were locked out. Spent 45 mins banging on doors and windows. Finally got let in and my daughter, full of relief and excitement ran upstairs to jump in the process. Met by a woman with a condescending attitude who told her “too late… come back in the Spring”.

Wonderfully talented young performers who light up the stage with their dancing, singing and dramatic skills! I have been to 4 different shows and I have been very impressed. Each time!Kudos to an excellent directorial staff and some excellent preparation and coaching!

Great young actors that are great with kids. They did a great job interacting with the audience/ kids during the show and were very friendly. It may have not have been exciting for adults, but it was perfect for kids.

Small street level playhouse. Easy to get into for wheelchairs. Ample parking. The play was excellent.

Great place. Took my 6 year old daughter to see a couple of plays there and we both fell in love. Performances were great!!!! Can't wait to go back and see more plays in upcoming season!
