Colleyville Soccer Association (CSA) is a recreational youth soccer association for children ages U4-U19 in Colleyville, TX, playing at Pleasant Run Soccer Complex. ★Robert D. Forster, IIWe signed up our 4 year old this year for her first competitive sports team experience. Little did we know that starting at age 4 makes your child a glutton for punishment in this league. Not only was she “placed” on the only team in the entire league with all new players, but it also happens to be the only team in the league with only 4 players (3 on 3). So, her first competitive experience consists of competing against teams, players, and coaches that have played before and also have more players (most teams have 6). I do respect and admire the opposing coaches and players as they too see the disadvantage our girls are facing and typically allow us to score after going up several goals. I just have to question how the administrators of the league deem this good for competition or growth of the young children.
