After multiple unanswered attempts to contact Evo leadership over nearly two months, I’m left deeply concerned about the club’s responsiveness and transparency. Our concerns—focused on coaching quality and player safety—deserved prompt attention but were ignored. This lack of communication reflects broader leadership issues and has contributed to declining player retention, including the departure of both my sons after several years with Evo. While many coaches were excellent, our experience with Ben O’Neil at the academy level was disappointing and echoed by other parents. I encourage parents to seek out coaches who are more engaged, communicative, and supportive of their children. Practice field conditions are also poor, often forcing relocations that disrupt training. Despite competitive pricing, the overall experience varies greatly depending on the coach, with little oversight from leadership on coaching effort, team placement and communication with families. Evo has potential, but without stronger leadership and open dialogue, there are much better club options in the Colleyville area. I hope this helps other families make informed choices.
